Who better to talk to about Tech & Apps than @chrislately?
Chris Gentilini is a curator, storyteller, and personal brand creator. You might know her as @chrislately and founder of PLAYBOOK, a weekly lifestyle newsletter and blog.
Over the past 15 years, she has launched an e-commerce company, built and led Product and Customer Success teams, and empowered clients to build their own story, all while wearing killer red lipstick. Her most recent entrepreneurial project is THREE MUSES, a sustainable, ready-to-wear brand devoted to effortless pieces meant to be loved all year long. By women, for women.
A friend to the brand, she was generous enough to share her phone with us to nail the skinny on gadgets & apps that make her life easier these days:

Even though I’m making an effort to be more present and try to step away from my devices, I’m also trying to approach my “tech-time” in a more mindful way. Here’s a look at how I use tech accessories to achieve my daily goals, including being more present and healthier.
I begin my day with a big glass of water and black coffee. My Nespresso machine is a life saver and I cannot live without it. I try to workout first thing in the morning while fasted and mainly do yoga on MimiYoga.com. It’s been a lifesaver during the past 8 months. On days that I do not do yoga, I go for long walks listening to one of my favorite podcasts on my AirPods or do a 20 minute Peloton cycling class. I rely on my Apple Watch to track my progress and remind me how far I come fitness wise.
I love using the latest gizmos and apps while getting ready for my day. Anything to make me more efficient. The Dyson hair dryer is a must because it cuts my styling time in half. Using a Waterpik has been a game changer and talking to Siri and organizing my calendar while I do my makeup keeps me organized. Right before I leave home, I turn on my Roomba and come back to a squeaky clean apartment.
I track my diet with My Fitness Pal to make sure I drink plenty of water and eat enough protein and rely on the Flo app to track my cycle and how it impacts my cravings and mood. The Waking Up meditation app is a new favorite; short meditations for beginners was just what I needed and they have helped me relax and focus for longer periods of time.
I’ve recently started using the iPhone’s sleep tracker and alarms to make sure I have enough rest during the week. I noticed I would be sleepy and still spend 45 more minutes on social media, so having an alarm pop up helps me stay on track.
