We've all been there. After a long day at the beach our salty locks are in desperate need of some mayor TLC. More often than not, we need to go beyond a regular shampoo + conditioner routine.  The following is a list of our most favorite leave-in conditioners to try this summer, in no particular order (Except for No.1)

1. THE HOLY GRAIL: DAVINES OI ALL IN ONE MILK

Fave. Fave. Fave. Can't get enough. It's on Amazon Subscribe & Save and comes in the mail to my home every 6 weeks. The smell, the texture, the packaging, the nozzle- it all works great.  Gentle enough to use on toddler tangles & grandma's thinning wisps.

2. MIGHTY MERMAID: SHEAMOISTURE LEAVE-IN TREATMENT

Hearty and sporty.  I purchase it in the travel size.  It comes with a hard core (but super cute & pink) nozzle on the bottle to tackle the nastiest tangles right after a surf.  The density works great to weigh hair down a bit from flyaways on windy beach days.  I keep it in my beach bag next to the sunscreen.

3. BABE ON A BUDGET: L'OREAL ELVIVE TOTAL REPAIR 5

You get plenty of product for the buck you pay.  An accessible and affordable drug store alternative when you're in a pinch to grab something because you've forgotten to pack toiletries.

4. VEGAN VENUS: AVEDA NUTRIPLENISH LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

This is a really interesting product.  It contains Sand Ginger- a naturally derived UV filter that helps protect hair from the drying effects of the sun.  It's 98% naturally derived, and is supposed to protect hair for up to 72 hours once applied.  Kinda wild. Definitely worth a try. 

5. FIT FOR A QUEEN: ORIBE SUPERSHINE MOISTURIZING CRÈME

A beautiful product for gifting yourself/others.  Truly luxurious in texture, weight, and feel.  The packaging is so elegant it looks gorgeous on display and is suitable for all hair types/ages.

6. BLONDE BOMBSHELL: KERASTASE CICAPLASME BLOND ABSOLU HAIR PRIMER

Brass Begone! If you're a blonde look no further.  This violet product helps mattify brassiness in color treated hair.

7. LIGHTWEIGHT & LUXE: KEVIN MURPHY LEAVE-IN REPAIR

A great option for she who wants volume & bounce.  This formula is so light and airy it allows for you to get "windswept away" for a sunset beach walk.

8. TRIED & TRUE: BIOLAGE ALL-IN-ONE MULTI-BENEFIT TREATMENT SPRAY

Not. bad. at. all. I was surprised when I tried this.  I used Biolage as a teenager and it made me ask myself why I stopped using their products at all. It comes in 3 different sizes, making it convenient for storing/usage in a plethora of scenarios.  Sulfate & Paraben-free.  With Coconut oil. Ships from and sold by Amazon.  What's not to love?

9.  TROPICAL TRESSES: PALMER'S COCONUT OIL HAIR MILK SMOOTHIE

The smell is intoxicating! I learned about this product on set once.  One of the models had it in her bag.  When we were wrapping up the entire crew couldn't get enough of her smell while she combed her locks.  This is exactly what you want to wear when you've gotten back home from vacation and want to keep the tropical memories alive.

10.  TEMPTED TO TRY: SHU UEMURA ESSENCE ABSOLUE ALL-IN-OIL HAIR MILK

So, I've used the Essence Absolu Hair Oil before, and love it.  I've got a feeling this may be similar to the satisfaction you'd get with an oil to cream cleanser.  A milky version of their oil would be just the perfect thing as a nourishing routine right after a surf 💭
