I've been thinking about this long and hard for over a year now.
Given the whirlwind that 2020 has been, alongside a yearning for simplifying my life, I've come to the conclusion that our current business model is just not suited for the times.
After months of brainstorming, consulting, analyzing and forecasting- I've made the decision to transition our brand into a made to order website. A place where you can shop the items you'd like- just as before, the only twist being it will take up to two weeks for your products to ship.
When I think back upon my very first brand meetings, I remember (and still do feel) I wanted to make products that are memorable. Dreamy, Whimsical, Unforgettable has always been my "go-to" phrase.
The story of the Isle of Swell Obsessed talks of an imaginary place where special, one-of-a-kind women are gifted these magical swimsuits. Pieces that serve as vessels to transport them elsewhere, to make them feel- not only in their bodies, but in their hearts and souls.
The challenges of facing increases in demand during a Pandemic have been no easy waters to tread through- yet here we are. Blessed to have magical women from all corners of the Earth eager to get to know our brand and be a part of it.
To take it a step further, even demand for creating coverups/resortwear.
We will be able to offer all of this, but times have changed. Things have changed. With all the exciting things that scaling up in production brings, there's also the scary part- surplus.
For now, I'm opting to pass on larger production runs, and fulfill orders on a first come- first serve basis. If an item sells out, you can opt to be notified on when the fabric gets restocked, or you can request to have it made in an alternative fabric/colorway.
This is NOT about exclusivity- we'd love nothing more than to fulfill every order immediately. Until we find a way to do so and maintaining our model as lean as possible- this is the right way for us.
We thank you in advance for joining us on this slow fashion movement, and hope to continue magically blessing as many Sirens as we can.
'Till next time,
